How my approach is different

I am a business coach who specializes in working with established business owners who are committed to making a difference. They are individuals who have an important message to communicate and a history of success but have reached a crossroads and are unsure how to proceed.

If you are like most of my clients, chances are you are smart, very competent at your profession, and highly motivated. You also know something remarkable is emerging yet are unsure exactly what it is or how to clarify it.

When you work with me you can expect to have the opportunity to fully talk out what you envision for your business. If this is the first time anyone has truly listened to the dream you have for your business this process could be transformational.

Within in the context of a foundational business-planning model we will look deeply at your business from all angles. This long view will provide you with clarity on what has been holding you back and what needs to be done to overcome it.

Who I work with

I work with a wide variety of business owners who have a deep commitment to making a positive difference in the world but have not yet achieved the impact and income they know is possible.

They are solopreneurs and small partnerships in fields such as consulting, coaching, healthcare, and education. They have found work that provides them deep personal satisfaction and that also improves the lives of their clients and their communities.

More important than what others think of your idea is the perseverance and common sense you bring to making it a reality. I have seen a lot of seemingly eccentric ideas become wildly successful. So, anyone who truly takes his or her work seriously can create just about anything. It won’t be quick or easy, but it is certainly possible.

  • Your inner guidance has a place at the table

When making decisions, we will give as much weight to your values, intuition, and inspiration as we do the logic and structures we think of as business principles. This balanced approach is fundamental to creating a successful business that honors your values.

  •  Days filled with activities you love are essential

Yes, that is right—follow you bliss. A business life filled with activities that you are naturally good at and that you love to do IS a key to success. These innate, intangible talents are your strengths. They are what make you unique and what your clients most value. Besides, life is too short to spend it doing a whole lot of “should do” stuff.

  •  True success is about more than money

Let’s not pretend: Life is meaningful when it includes quality time with others, abundant health, and creative pursuits in addition to financial security.

  • Lean into your community

You know how important quality relationships are to your life. This is equally true for your business. Regular interaction with others brings fresh perspectives, making the handling of difficult tasks less challenging and reducing the isolation that small-business owners sometimes experience.
